Dr wants me to lose weight.
I need a low carb, low cholesterol diet. No corn, oats, fish, chicken/turkey/veal (meat is okay), cheese is fine but no yogurt or milk.
Very low amounts of beans/peas maybe okay.
Thanks so much

Egg omelet?
Light Greek yogurt?
Feta cheese?
Salmon?
Flounder?
Tuna?
Are you looking for full meal ideas or just protein ideas?

If you want a low carb diet that doesn't include fish, chicken, turkey, veal, or milk, um... there's not much left. The only thing you can eat is eggs, cheese, meat and vegetables and fruits. So maybe egg omelete for breakfast with vegetables, salad or soy protein shake for lunch and meat and vegetables for supper? Nuts and fruits for snacks? It sounds very limited, though.

Yes agree with above poster this sounds very strange you eliminated almost every source of lean protein. You can’t survive on kale. Are you sure you got this diet straight?

And I just realized that eggs, meat, and cheese are all high in cholesterol. I think that leaves you with just fruits and vegetables, I don't know how you can survive on that.
Do you want to clarify with your doctor what he means?

Op here
He limited me to a low carb/cholesterol diet.
For other reasons mostly stomach issues I can not eat the foods listed.
I am getting hungry and was wondering if I was maybe missing some ideas.

I'm not a nutritionist, but it seems to me that a low carb AND low cholesterol diet is very, very hard to implement. Basically impossible if you can't have lean proteins such as fish, chicken, and lowfat yogurts.
Perhaps he would allow you healthy carbs such as whole grain bread?
For the meantime, I recently found this shake made by "Garden of Life" on Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon which is OU-Pareve. There are other shakes that you can buy in the frum pharmacies as well. It's not enough, but it might help.

Nuts.
I recently had to go on a low carb diet and ate nuts with everything. It's a protien and very filling.
Almonds and peanuts worked best for me.
I can't eat nuts now for other reasons, but it definitely helped me stick to the diet
