What can be the cause? It brings in air that has a stale smell.
The filter's clean. Any idea how to get rid of it?

When was the last time you replaced the filter? And when you replaced it, what did the old one look like - did it have any mold on it?

It's a new air conditioner, bought it about 2 months ago.

Nope, just started smelling about a week or two ago. Checked the filter, and it was clean.
