It turns out, though, that Arron Banks, the head of the largest pro-Brexit campaign, met with Russian officials about a dozen times before the Brexit vote and then lied about it to Parliament. Not to mention the sweetheart gold mine deals he got from the Kremlin.

There is, of course, already an investigation into Russian interference into Brexit. And members of the Leave EU campaign were meeting with Russians many times -- contrary to what they've previously claimed. The Russian embassy may have even extended four invitations to Brexit’s biggest funder, but it is not known if they were accepted.

Precisely.

There is an "investigation."

And Russia clearly spent as much as a few hundred thousand dollars on Facebook, YouTube, and whatnot (Wired).

But there is no evidence that Russia did anything to manipulate the "leave" vote beyond a bit of advertising. Attempting to overturn the results of an election based on charges of such flimsy "meddling" simply because you don't like the results sets a bad precedent.

Given that Russia currently supplies over a third of the EU's natural gas (CNN) and could easily turn the spigot off or raise prices, concern about influencing British voters with Facebook ads should be the last of the EU's concerns.

The royal family probably has less real power then any shmoe on the street. It is considered unconstitutional for the Royal Family to vote. If they make any political statements they are criticized. (although they sometimes can't help themselves...)
