I keep hearing birds screeching....I just went to my porch sliding door and I saw a hawk perched on my roof. After a few minutes he took off.....and he just came back. Seems like the low roof of my garage area suits his taste.
My BIL will be dropping off my 11-month-old nephew at my house in about an hour...and my 10 year old DD will be coming home as well. Any reason for me to feel nervous? He looks like a nice-sized bird....

It says that they are dangerous to humans when nesting. I wouldn’t go near it as it can hurt humans....

I don't know. I googled hawk and it looks just like the first picture that came up. White'ish greyish....same beak, talons, etc...

If there's no nest on your roof, I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn’t leave the baby sitting unattended on a blanket in the yard when the hawks around, but I think you’ll be fine otherwise.
Appreciate the up close view of such a majestic bird. And treat it like any wild animal - don’t approach it.
