I need a recipe for pizza tomato sauce, the type that they use in the local pizzerias. The tomato sauce that I make for lasagna, baked ziti, etc is not good on top of pizza dough. Greatly appreciated!

Which tomato sauce do you use from smitten kitchen? All the recipes seem to be for pizza dough.

Marinara Sauce
1 (20 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar (optional)
1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1-1/4 tsp table salt)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 /4 teaspoon black pepper
In a large saucepan over high heat, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, oil, vinegar, sugar, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally
