I'm new to Food stamps and the number for the local office goes straight to an answering machine. Can anyone answer me these two questions?
1) If someone is doing the shopping for me (not a regular thing but it comes up every so often), am I allowed to give them the card to use? The card is on my name.
2) I need to report to them if my income goes over a certain threshold during any particular month. The nature of my income is up and down. I can easily make over the limit one month and nothing at all the next month (I'm self-employed). What is the best way to report this and what would be the effect on the benefits?
much appreciated!
