Help me out. My son is allergic to eggs, so right now I can't have eggs in any shape or form, and my hub cant have carb. I coat the patties in sesame to help it stay together but I need some kind of "glue" to replace the egg/mayo - any ideas?

try sour cream maybe - or the tofutti kind. mashed potatoes could also work.

Someone I know said that they use canned mushroom soup with bread crumbs. She says it works beautifully.

eta, sorry, I didn't notice about the carbs

But I don't recommend it, personally Wink

Your dh can't have any vegetable carbs, or is it just grains that he's avoiding?

Have you tried baking in muffin tins, so the batter can't spread out?

No carb.
Muffin tin is an interesting idea, but will it stick?

I know this is an old post, but I found it, so someone else might too. Let me save you some time and ingredients. No, the flax doesn't work. It has the slime factor, but cooking doesn't make it firm. I gagged when I tried one. Really unpleasant.

Didn't I read on another thread to use avocado instead of mayo? Maybe try that

That recipe also calls for eggs.

But I think the patties would be good with tuna, mashed avocado and flour as a binder (along with aromatics and seasoning).
