These are my staples..... I'm sooooo sick of them and find myself in desperate need for other ideas.

I have 10 adults and 14 children coming shabbos lunch. It is tooooo hot to make dafina / cholent.

I have just come home from work, grumpy, put myself in time out while I contemplate making my salads for shabbos lunch and I'm sick of everything! I just cannot bring myself to make them.

I usually make:
-Tuna and cabbage with green shalots
- roasted eggplant
- Asian spinach salad
- sweet broccoli salad
- roasted cauliflower
- green salad
- salade cuite à la tunisienne
- kale salad
- marinated mushrooms
- stir-fry Asian garlic green beans

Any suggestions? What are your favourite / go-to salads?

Please provide recipes if you can! TIA!!
And shabbat shalom!

Or, make a salad that has deli/chicken cut into it.

I forgot to mention I cut up raw fennel, do a taboulle (either quinoa or couscous) and sometimes pasta.

Since I usually put the fish salad on at the same time as the other salads, I never thought about putting in cut up deli meat, but I could save that for my green salad and serve with the meat mains. Thanks for the ideas!!

Sure! It's totally addictive, just warning you.

The mushrooms in this recipe are actually sauteed, not grilled, but you could prob do either way

-Sautee fresh portobello mushrooms/canned baby bella
-add paprika, pepper, salt

-Toss Romaine lettuce, halved grape tomatoes and the sauteed portobello mushrooms. Drizzle dressing (see below) and top with honey glazed almonds.

Dressing:
1/2 c oil
1/4 c vinegar
1/4 c ketchup
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp paprika
2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp salt
Pour all ing in a plastic container and shake.

I married into a family where many salads are expected (at least as many salads as guests).

A new one is with the riced cauliflower. Chop different colored peppers very small, a red onion or scallion toss w basic vinaigrette. Vinegar sugar salt pepper

Frum with allergies, can u post your asian spinach salad, salade cuite à la tunisienne & asian stir fry green beans please?
They sound so interesting , and I'm getting bored of just cut veggie salads!
Tichel lady can u be more specific about the lentil salad & taco salads- what goes in them and details of dressing?
