Yes. But it's an easy swap for tapioca starch.
It also means no paprika, ketchup, bbq sauce, or bought items with ingredient list of general "spices".

Thank you! I'm just entering this whole thing while trying to discover which food sensitivities a family member has. I discovered that many gluten free items had potato starch so trying to figure it all out.
