It started a couple of days ago, when she is relaxing or reading, she makes this sound, like a quiet grunt but as she breathes in, not out. Like the little sighs babies make. She’ll do it a few times per minute and isnt aware of it. It can go on for ages.
Should I be worried? Should I make her aware of it and tell her to stop? I don’t want to drive her crazy (although the sound is driving me crazy!) - but my main concern is that it will develop into a habit she won’t be able to stop. I don’t want her to be made fun of by her friends.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Sounds like a tic. Not the bug kind. If she is on ADHD medication it might bring it on. If not, ignore it. It goes away by itself eventually. She really can't help it.

DS did that when he was about 5 and 6. Drove me nuts. But he grew out of it.
