At the end of every year, Israel's Interior Ministry publishes the 10 most popular baby names from the past year:
(there are 2 lists, 1 Jewish, and 1 general (includes Arabs, etc) -
this is the Jewish list from 5778.

How many of these names do you have in your family?

Boys:
1. Ariel 2. David 3. Lavi 4. Ori 5. Yosef 6. Eitan 7. Noam 8. Daniel 9. Itai 10. Yehuda

Girls:
1. Tamar 2. Avigail 3. Yael 4. Adele 5. Noa 6. Sarah 7. Shira 8. Noya 9. Esther 10. Talia

(edited, I mixed up the girls list when I copied it. Now it's correct)

I have a child with 2 of the boys names.
My name is one of the girls names, but my daughters both have very unique names.

Cool list! Is Adele in this list Odel? As in the highly popular Breslov name?

I have a Tamar. It’s popular across the religious spectrum. Also the name of the wife of Rav Shteinman.

It was a Hebrew list - אדל

Maybe I transliterated it incorrectly to English.

My name is Yael. Noam and Daniel are two of my favorites and if I have another boy I’ll probably choose one of those (plus David for my grandfather!). I’m in the US.

It might be coming from the more secular sector, taking a cue from the popular singer Adele.

We have six of those names! As either first or second names for our kids - David, Yosef and Noam for boys and Tamar, Noa and Talia for girls...actually my youngest is named Talia Tamar :-)
