Does anyone know if this is appropriate for a 10 year old?

My kid loved the one he read before I told him I did not let him read it. The snark and cynicism and disrespect for elders that’s prevalent in these humor tween books is appalling.

Thank you. I have been trying to figure out if there is anything inappropriate about the series.

I’m sure many people would find it inappropriate. I personally don’t care if my kids read them. I own the whole series and it’s one of the only books my 9 year old will read. I enjoy them too. They are hilarious.

Is there any romance in these books?

It's always helpful to search common sense media before letting your kids watch and/or read anything questionable. They break down the issues very clearly and explicitly.

It’s written from a 10 year old point of view so there’s no romance. But he talks a lot about impressing girls and such...
