I recently moved to monsey and my husband and I are very responsible, my husband lost his job and has not found a new one yet and we will not be ale to pay our rent this has never happened to us we are so scared and do not know what to do!! we are both furiously looking for a job but in the meantime is there somewhere we can go to ask for tzedakah? we do not have a rabbi in the area yet and I was thinking maybe someone who collects maaser money for people in need? I seriously do not know what to do at this point!

Can you pay some of it?
Can you borrow from relatives or gemach?
Don't panic. Things will get better.

Is Rabbi Moskowitz the founder of BDY school? If yes, he's a very special person.
He will def be able to help. Also Kupas Ezra.
OP, I was in your situation. Hugs and don't despair. May you be blessed with a prosperous new year with happiness and health.

When I was in this situation I asked my landlord if I can pay when I have the money. Is it a possibility?

I’m going to echo others— Tomchei Shabbos is the best place for this

Can you call their house? I don't know phone numbers but Rabbi Moskowitz lives in Parker Blvd (he also has a shul, maybe your DH can drive by and see if he can speak to him in person. )
Also Alan Rosenstock may live on College Road (or maybe that's his brother Michael) .
Today Tomche Shabbos is probably making their big Succos delivery . So they are both probably very occupied with that. Your DH can also see if maybe they are at the Tomche Shabbos warehouse in the Spook Rock Industrial Center.
Have you tried contacting the gemachim that a poster listed?
There is a gemach that loans money run by Rabbi Aryeh Derdyk and his wife on Elyon Road.

Speak to a Rabbi or whoever organizes your shul even if it is in small shul. Things go better when you have someone vouch for you. Plus he might know someone or know someone who knows someone.
The same is true for speaking with your old rav. He may know someone in monsey.
The organizations are overloaded around the yom tovim
