The soup would be in my fridge ( refrigerated not frozen) and I would warm it on my stove.

Bobeli- it's the Presto that has a 22'' by 13'' cooking surface. The guy in the store told me (over the phone) that it says UL certified on the box.
I think its this one;

Tichellady so far my freezer is empty as in m-p-t but I usually have everything frozen before YT.

The guy said it is UL certified. I bought it. It is UL listed.
Rule #1. Ramom is always right.
Rule #2. When in doubt refer to rule #1.

Thanks!
I love the hotplate but I think you didn't get the compliment so let me explain;
You had said up thread that I should make sure any hotplate I buy is UL certified not just UL listed and you said you think that the Presto was not UL certified.
The guy told me the Presto is Certified but turns out you were right ramom. It is not certified it is Listed.

Wow I didn't realize. I'm not sure I know the difference though I'm sure there is one. Certified for sure is better but I believe you can trust UL listing. UL is a global safety certification company.
I thought you meant the Israheat was UL certified after all. Maybe I can get into that closet now

at the end I bought one by the housewares store on 14th and 45th. not presto something else.
I had no time to shop around, so I got the biggest.
it worked out good but I needed to put empty aluminium pans upside down and then the pans with the food because it could burn the food if left too long.
thanks everyone.
and yes ramom is always right and knows the answer
