Which HMO is best to choose for Jersey Care? I think there is one that CHOP takes? Which is best for adults?

Call your doctors office and ask which one they recommend. FWIU Dr Shanik has informed his patients that none will cover Chopp anymore.

I was going to say that it sounds highly unusual for NJ based Medicaid to cover an out lf state Hospital (unless there's prior authorization for a specific condition or treatment)

United healthcare community plan covered chop very recently, though it sounds like that's changing based on previous poster. Amerigroup covers DuPont/ Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware, with specialty office satellites in NJ (Deptford and Voorhees- I think), and Dr Shanik now refers there a lot. The hospital is excellent and we've chosen some specialists there, even when based in CHOP, for their expertise. The only downside is that DuPont Nemours is not so familiar yet with the frum community and Dr Shanik isn't as well known and respected there yet as he is in CHOP.
