How much is the starting salary for medical billing offices in lakewood? How much is reasonable to ask for?
How much with experience in the field?

I think the starting salary with no experience is about $16-$20 an hour, some with paid yt and vacation and some without (just make sure to include that & paid lunch breaks if you're comparing)

Try all companies. It Def doesn't hurt. I earn 50k but that is pretty much the max. And I've been there for over 8 years.

That’s the max?! After 8 years? Get me out of this field...
my understanding was that it’s a field with growth and you can potentially earn 100k if you build up in the company (become supervisor, etc). Did you grow in your company?

50-55k is the max. unless you become a supervisor. which obviously will give you a big jump in salary 80-100k and then maybe even more. but being a supervisor in this field is very hard work. means putting in hours at night, responding to emails at all times, finishing other ppls work and taking 'blame' for all the employees work under you...see if that is worth it for you!

there are 2-3 offices they may give you closer to 60k but that just means they may expect more from you or be harder company to work for-more pressure, less flex with hours etc.

Sorry I didn't clarify. I make 50k while working 27 hours per week so about 34.00 per hour

Did they train you or did you already have experience? Do they offer any benefits?

I'm sorry for all the questions, but I work about as many hours as you and I make much less than you. I've been working for about 25 years by now, but the field I started out in doesn't really exist anymore. I then worked very part time for a while when my kids were little. A few years ago I was ready to start working almost full time, I spoke to PCS and what they told me to expect was pretty much what I am making and there's not much potential for my salary to grow that much. I love what I do, but I need the money desperately and I would probably switch jobs if I knew I could be making that much money in a few years.

The offices here let you cut hours after your were there for a few years.

I believe it’s 25-30 hours a week.
