Anyone have a salmon recipe - marinated or other- that can be made in advance?
Or salmon that can be prepared. Cooked frozen. And defrosted on Yom Tov and still be delicious..

Please share your salmon recipe secrets:)

My salmon patties for RH kind of bombed so I turned in into a loaf. It was delcious for all of the yomtov meals. One of these days I will figure out what went with the patties. https://natashaskitchen.com/sa.....cipe/

I make this up to two days before and warm up slightly just before serving:
I saute a whole chopped onion until translucent and really soft. Then I add a drop of honey (probably about 1 teaspoon), let it cook for another 5 minutes. Add some salt. Pour over salmon and bake covered for 25 minutes. It's delicious warm or at room temperature.

Thank you! These sound great! Keep them coming!
I did sweet and sour salmon cooked with sugar caramelized, onions , water, some besamim cloves, and lemon juice.

Need some changes. For other meals...

I can post exact amounts if wanted...

I have another two salmon recipes I make that are served warm or room temperature:

Mustard- Dill Samon
Cube 4 slices of skinned salmon fillet.
3T. vineagar
3T. olive oil
3 T. sugar
2 T. mustard
6 frozen dill cubes (I use dill spice and it works just as well)

Combine all ingredients and marinate half-hour or overnight. Bake 375 for 20 minutes uncovered. Serve over lettuce.

Mayo-Basil Fish
5 T. mayo
2 T. ketchup
1 T. dry basil
black pepper
2 T. honey

Mix. Pour over fish. This recipe is for 6 slices salmon fillet.
Bake 350 for half hour covered.

These are both seriously delicious and get rave reviews whenever I make them.

I don't know what side of the ocean you are on but if it's EY, then one of these won't work, unless you have a friend willing to bring you the TJ mixture. But they are both easy and great.

1. Lightly oil or spray pan with oil of your choice. Put salmon pieces in. Sprinkle generously with Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seasoning. Bake as usual.

2. Lightly oil pan USING TOASTED SESAME OIL. Put in salmon pieces. Sprinkle with soy sauce -- say about 1/2 tsp per salmon piece. Top with sesame seeds. If you use a mixture of black and white sesame seeds it looks really pretty.

My go to salmon: Drizzle with a little olive oil and add a little salt, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. Bake at 425 for about 12 to 15 minutes. Take it out and drizzle with honey and put back in for another 2 to 3 minutes. When you serve, you can spoon the sauce back over the salmon.

Alternatively, you can use butter/ smart balance instead of the olive oil.

I make salmon, smeared with low fat mayo and then dip into corn flake crumbs with mixture of spices including smoked paprika, chipotle spice, and “everything but the bagel” spice. Then bake. Delish!

I make pickled salmon. It's good in the fridge for 2 weeks.

Cook salmon in water for 20 minutes.
In a glass container, cut an onion, ketchup, vinegar and pickling spice. Place cooked salmon in the glass container and refrigerate.

Sorry can't give measurements, but this recipe is no-fail, so go for it.
