Hi all- what lipstick brand do you prefer to stay on as many days as possible? And I have seen Revlon listed in previous posts - went to amazon and not sure if it is the 24 hour colorstay one step - which does NOT have a gloss to add over it? Or the 16 hour overtime which is one side of color and one side of a gloss overlay ( like the Caroline brand). Which works better?

I currently use Caroline which I like, but it only lasts till mid morning on me and not the whole Shabbos.

Also any colors people like?

Careline stays on by me- I use three coats. Every five minutes I add another one( once it dries). I eat, drink, sleep.. with it and it stays on

Eyeliner - stila (stingray or the brown one)
Mascara- diorshow or Clinique
Eyeshadow- jacquline hill morphe palette with primer

I wouldn't know about any other types of makeup because I don't use them for yom tov

Edit: oops I see you only want lipstick! My bad!

Sephora lipstain. A makeup artist just recommended it. I've been using it for 3 weeks & I'm really impressed w/ it. Stays on the whole shabbos & doesnt dry my lips out like cover girl.

ETA that I also use 2 or 3 coats.

I use 06- pink souffle. It's a nice pink, not totally nude, but nothing flashy or too bright.

Another vote for the Sephora lipstain. Really impressed with it. Not as drying as Maybelline 24 hour. As long as we are talking about long lasting, my undereye concealer ( which I really need) with powder on top often disappears before Shabbos morning. Suggestions of what to buy and how to apply? Thanks!

Revlon Colorstay stays on literally for days! After Shabbat I have to scrub it off!

Just tried the Sephora lipstain. It literally comes off me in half a day! How do you get it to stay on over yom tov?

I guess this is just my reality, no lipstick stays on. Oh well:(

Try using lipchick lip sealer over a long lasting lipstick and then a clear moisturizer over that. That’s the only thing that works for me and keeps my long lasting lipstick on for a few days.

Where do you get that from?

I previously tried lip primer before I put on my lipstick... all the lipstick slides right off it--my lipstick was off within half an hour!

I use Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color. It lasts through Yom Tov. Try it. So Sienna is the darkest color I am comfortable with. Forever Chestnut is lighter and lovely. Hatzlacha!

https://www.amazon.com/Lip-Chi.....ZEMEI

The hosiery store near me has a make up counter and they sell it. When I lived in Brooklyn a few different makeup stores sold it.
Btw- I’ve tried others and they don’t work on me
This is not a primer - it’s a coating on top of the lipstick to lock it in

I have N E V E R used a lipstick that stayed on as long as Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor. Every lipstick I ever used, never lasted even 24 hours for Shabbos. It did dry and peel off somewhat, but there was plenty of remaining color. I used eye makeup remover pads after a 2 day Yom Tov to remove it.

What about equally long lasting concealer, primer, foundation (someone recommended Dermablend), eye shadow, eye liner, face powder, etc?

Kat von D Everlasting liquid lipstick can stay on me for days, as long as it's not a super light color.
