My husband did tashlich with my kids and won't take me to do it anywhere. (Yeah, he's being a creap). Anyway, what are my options? Anyone else do it without water?? We have a fish tank. Is that acceptable??

Running water is better. I've done it at the sink with the tap running.
Sorry for what you're dealing with.

I did it one year at a fish tank in the hospital lobby. My rabbi said under my circumstances I could. I have no idea if it's okay for you as well, but I tend to think if the alternative is to not do it at all then you probably should just do it.

Why won't he take you anywhere?

Can you tell him that not helping his wife will invalidate his tashlich, so he'll have to do it again? Twisted Evil

I did tashlich by my little front yard pond. An aquarium would be similar except it's smaller. Running water (even without fish) is OK by many poskim: http://www.aish.com/h/hh/rh/gu......html

I believe chassidim are makpid on water. It’s a minhag, so the tefilla is still valid in your living room.
