I'm looking for an idea of the kinds of lunches served in tzaharonim. If you've run one or send to one and know what they serve, can you give me an idea of a weekly menu? Thank you!

Usually basari: chicken with couscous, shnitzel with rice, things like that.

Yes, that kind of things. Also meat balls, pasta, fish fingers, rice, soup...

Yes and they usually also have some type of cooked vegtable - string beans in tomato sauc, pease and carrots.

Thanks so much for all the replies! Do they give each child a portion of each, or ask what each wants? Seems like such a waste to give each kid a chicken leg or whatever if he won't touch it. Or do the kids learn to eat these possibly new normal foods due to peer pressure? (In case you can't tell, I've become accustomed to some very picky eaters.)

I'm pretty sure each kid gets a portion of everything and they just eat it.
Dd once told me that they have to eat all the protien before they can get more of the starch and she endded up staying hungry because she didn't like the chicken that day and couldn't get more rice.

Depends on the tzaharon but my dd gets to pick what she wants.. she’s really picky and doesn’t like her food touching usually just ends up eating the rice or cous cous.. they give them rice bulgar cous cous lentils schnitzels chicken on the bone chickpeas green beans peas and carrots and also have bread and spreads for the picky eaters
