I have some questions for you as it seems you're in the field.
or would anyone be able to answer them please?
I am a graphic designer.
I have a very good taste for design and color combos.
I designed some patterns and clothing by drawing it in Adobe illustrator and applied them to a mock-up in Photoshop. They came out beautiful but was wondering how actual fashion design works? I'm really interested in becoming a fashion designer.
How does fashion design work? Does the designer have to choose the fabrics as well? Does the designer have to make the patterns?
Is anyone familiar with the process from A to Z?
Where can I learn it?
Any and all replies are greatly appreciated!!

I'm chassidish and wouldn't go to college.. I assume college is mixed? or am I being narrow-minded?

idk abt fashion design, I think theres a special school for that F.I.T. as far as I remember from a relative who attended years ago....but there are classes that can be taken in diff fields that are offered by Frum colleges like Touro who have separate classes or Home/online/ or by mail courses. Theres also one TTI that tests are taken in a Bais Yakov School I think.
