I need to make a chocolate birthday cake for around 20 kids.
Will the recipe double well? Anything I should be careful of or any ingredients I should keep the same?
Thanks

The issue with doubling cake recipes is that the pan size and shape can really impact the outcome.
If I needed more cake, I would double the batter but cook it in separate pans. There are certain configurations that are interchangeable in terms of round pans and square pans.
I am nit familiar with the recipe. You could make is as a sheet pan in two pans and then just put the two together so it looks like one cake when decorated.

I six-timed it once for a giant cake, and it was fine.
