I did it successfully twice!! I made them in a big glass tub though. I googled a recipe for sour pickles and just kind of made it up as I went along. tried to make other pickles and they molded though.

I like my pickles less sour but I'm pretty sure all you need to do is leave them fermenting a couple of days longer to get them sour.
