I am starting a blog about raw food living and am wondering about earning money by linking certain items on the blog. For example, I blog about how to sprout and juice. I'd share a link to the items I use, such as the seeds, juicer, colanders, etc.
When blog readers click on the link and make a purchase I'd receive a small commission?
Can someone tell me how this works and is there really money to be made this way?

Yes but you will need to build up a very large following to actually earn money off this

There is a lot of money to be made, if you do it well.
Your question is similar to asking: "is their money to be made in opening a store?"
Some stores earn high profits. Some stores lose money and go out of business. Some stores earn a bit of money.
