We recently went to a family simcha. I wasnt planning to go but my father really wanted me to be there and offered to reimburse my expenses.
At the simcha he asked how much it cost and said he'd PayPal me. It's now 2 days later. Should I remind him? It wasnt a huge sum but we are very stretched financially.

Sure, why not? Just do it respectfully. He’ll probably be glad you reminded him.

If he offered to reimburse you and asked how much it was, there's nothing wrong with reminding him. But since it's only been 2 days and he might be tired and behind do to the simcha, I'd probably wait until next week before I said anything to give him a few more days to do it on his own.

If you really need it now, remind him nicely. I don’t think he’d want to cause you hardship.

I think it's ok to send a quick text Hey Dad was so nice joining the simcha! I'm so grateful you offered to reimburse me, here's my email address (or whatever info he needs to PayPal the money to you). Thanks loads!
This would be my style. Use your own.
