I need to start calling playgroups for my son soon. He will be 2.5 next September when he starts. I'm very unfamiliar with the options, since this is my oldest.
My biggest concerns:
1) will teach the basics, but will allow my son ample opportunity to play and socialize.
2) not too expensive
3) has options for transportation both ways
I'm not too particular about location because of the requirement for transportation. Any suggestions?

Transportation cuts down your options. You should look into Torah U'middos on East 13th M-N (Mandel) and Oshry's program at 17th and O which both have transportation and I believe are reasonably priced.

So I make more than $24,600 per year for my family of 4. I don't understand how people live making less than that...
Oh, wait, I forgot--their parents are giving them money so that they can also qualify for programs. (Sorry for the bitterness. It's not directed at the poster, more just frustration that I don't qualify for programs when I'm struggling a lot more financially than any of my friends who qualify for all these programs.)

Do you have Torah U'middos' number? I actually went there as a kid.

girl, I totally hear you. I have a family member that is 3 months behind rent, but doesn't qualify for ANYTHING cuz she "makes too much money." I just wanted to put the suggestion out there in case it was an option for you...

More like a van. I have no other way of getting him back and forth every day. I work until 3:15.
