Depends on area in a mid-size (or larger) NYC firm an entry level salary can be in the $60,000 range.

Depends where you work. If you work at a small office doing bookkeeping, you could start off at $40k. If you work at a Big 4 firm in NYC you’ll start around $60k but you’ll work long hours. I’m a CPA working for about 7 years and I’m at $100k. Started off at Big 4.
Best of luck !

Mid-size firms typically have salaried employees. Houry rates are reserved for interns (who get paid much less). For an hourly rate figures the aforementioned salary of 60k /2100 hours = 28.5/hr
