Any really good moisturizer like Aquaphor. Or O'keeffe's working hands. Actually they have an O'keefe's working feet too, but I cheat and use the working hands on my hands and feet!

Likely from dry skin. I get it too - not just in the winter - and it is super painful. I use gold bond foot cream and it works wonders for me. The trick is to use it consistently every day...

Check your thyroid. I had this until my thyroid was properly treated.

Moisturizing with really heavy moisturizer and wearing socks to bed over helps moisturize.

Are your shoes different in the winter in terms of irritating the heels?

That's interesting. I read that aswell.. my thyroid is treated and I still have it. Not as bad as it used to be but still

I have a pedicure every week and then you need to moisturize your feet. Also it can be that you need insoles in your shoes .. so ask your doc if your feet are okay.

See a podiatrist. Make sure that it's not a fungal infection. Get a prescription cream that will help speed up the healing.

Vaseline and socks are great for preventing it from coming back, but you want to get a jump start on the healing with a professional who specializes in feet.

You are not alone, it is super common! Aside from ingrown toenails, this may be the most common thing podiatrists see.

It’s possible that you’re thyroid is not at optimal levels, even if it is within the normal range.
