Does anyone have any ideas for family gifts?
Each family used to buy a CD for every family and we'd exchange. We've been doing this for 3 decades but need to stop now due to changes in technology and how we listen to music. We used to send out our requests and it was lots of fun.
Any ideas for $20 gift that a family with different ages would appreciate?
Should it be a gift certificate to the Judaica store that would be enough money to cover a new book?

I agree with a game, a family game or maybe a gift certificate to a pizza store or is that too tacky?

Family games are usually more than $20, if you’re willing to up the amount games are a great idea. A book doesn’t seem fair if there are multiple ages in the family as they’re usually specific to one age range. And exchanging gift certificates won’t be fun.
I would sooner pay for some joint experience like hiring entertainment for the party.
