As a kid I was often sent with a bottle of nice dry wine and it was kind of uncomfortable for me!

Otherwise:
Babka
Cookies (homemade is fun!)
Candy platter
Special shabbos treat for kids
Fruit platter (obviously more expensive)
Sparkling grape juice

When I was a teenager, we usually brought win for the parents. Once we were old enough, we often drove ourselves over and brought it along. We were all very surprised to find out, at a school event, that it is illegal for people under the age of 21 to transport alcoholic beverages in a vehicle, even if it is sealed. There was a lot of shouting and confusion.

21 to me is crazy lol you're old enough to serve...
But I wouldn't give a wine bottle to a kid under 18.
I wouldn't send homemade. People don't know your kashrus

Cookie, cake or chocolate. Sometimes sparkling grape juice.
I've sometimes sent snack bags or candy for their children plus mine special for shabbos party.
I like the game or toy idea just make sure its not muktza.

I didn't know Trader Joe's has babka. Is It the parve? Or does it have a Kosher dairy certification ?

I usually send rice crispy marshmallow treats and rice crispy peanut chews (checking first for no allergies of course) Not fancy, but the kids love it.
