My 3 year old is a very bright child but has horrible sleeping habits. As a baby she took really quick naps and woke up many times at night. Overall though she was a really happy baby and is still a really happy child. However she is still coming to my room almost nightly. I need to be up early in the am and I'm exhausted from sitting by her bed in middle of night trying to get her to stay in her bed to only have her come back shortly after I go back to bed. I've discussed rewards with her that she agrees to during daytime waking hours but then in middle of night she is not rational and wants nothing of it and cries and my baby wakes up.

Any suggestions or advice how to deal with this. I'm exhausted.

Is she scared of being alone in her room? Can you put a mattress on the floor of your room that she is allowed to come in and sleep on, or that you put her to sleep on in the first place?

My 4 year old is the same way. He just wants to hold my hand all night long. Which is adorable but... Sorry, I have no advice but would love to get some!
