does this means dresses are out?
Not that it impacts me. I'm going to wear what I'm going to wear. But I feel downright trendy with a cardigan that's the exact same shade of blue as my skirt (with a print shell).

If sets are really in, then ill just keep on wearing dresses or cute tops and skirts.
I really really dont like the look of matching top and skirt. Smile

Looking good is always in style, no matter what's "in".

I'm not so on top of these things, but I really don't think dresses are going out anytime soon.

And they'd better not, because I only just got one, and still need to get around to having it tailored Smile

I think more like a top and skirt in the same shade. Usually knits. Skirt might have a pleated look.

I'm not sure I've seen this in a knit or pleated. I'd love a pic. I imagine a matchy top and skirt

Yes, it's a top and bottom.
And the Mishpacha teen mag featured it on its recent trending page. (Which I am sure Ariella Schiller is following avidly.) (And I bet if I get a single like it's AS Wink )

The thing with matching tops and skirts is that they can’t be the only clothes in your wardrobe or it gets old fast. You can only have a couple of outfits like that. It’s just one trend that is in now.

This is velour. I've seen a bunch in knits. http://www.shopsheek.com/velou......html

I feel like similar sets we're in style about 1990 when I was in 7th grade. I didn't have a great year then, therefore I am staying away from these for emotional reasons😂

Pinkfrige, I'm seeing plenty of dresses! And unless you're buying super trendy things, most clothing looks stylish enough for 4-5 years, at which point it's probably getting worn out.

This looks like something cozy to wear around the house; not something I'd wear to work.
It's not even attractive on the professional model in the ad.
I'll skip this trend, TYVM!

I've seen women wearing these sets, a ribbed top with a ribbed skirt. To me they looked 1/2 dressed, like just a skirt and shell. Like they forgot to put on a top.

When I was growing up suit jackets were same print as the skirt, so every outfit was one for itself. Too bad mix & match wasn't popular then. It became so much easier to dress when mix & match was in & also you were able to get by non jewish stores separates & use them to your skirts at home. If everything is a set, it becomes a prob when the ones in dept stores are too short for tznius.
