Regarding Henry is a heartwarming movie. Theres a little bit of gun violence in the beginning which gives the main character a brain injury which changes him and is the basis of the movie.

Interesting, dh just asked for movie ideas last night. Was not gonna start a new thread, so just looked at old ones. Your restrictions are exactly what I would watch. Thanks!

Freedom writers (based on true events)
Hidden Figures (based on true events)
The Post (based on true events)
The LEGO movie (more humorous)
Wonder (haven’t seen but supposed to be good)
If you like musicals, The greatest showman is fantastic
Ocean’s 11 (and 12 and 13)
Arrival (a little eerie)

My Girl is a really sweet movie and I think it's on Amazon Prime now. The Glass Castle is also really good, just more intense.

I just watched "Itzhak" online this week . It's very inspiring, and squeaky clean and contains beautiful music. I recommend it very highly.

Ok, look up Apocalypse by Derren Brown on YouTube. No wait, hear me out, by which I mean read this synopsis I found online:

A member of the public is given a second chance at life when mentalist Derren Brown makes him realize how important life is by tricking him into believing that a meteor has hit the earth and is now populated by zombies.

My husband and I watched it last night. It was gripping, funny, not scary and an AMAZING life lesson.

Lion. A great movie based on a true story about an adopted boy who sets out to find his lost family in India. Highly recommended.

What about the movies that 90s kids grew up on, along the lines of Free Willy?

Bigsis, where can I watch this? Thanks for sharing your synopsis!

AFAIK The Good Place is on Netflix

(though I personally cancelled my Netflix subscription a while ago for budget reasons so I can’t be 1000% sure)

I LOVED the book about 12 years ago!!! The movie was a bit disappointing after the book; I'd have liked it better if I hadn't read the book first.

When are they making Brokeback Horses a movie?
