Has anyone made Lotus spread from scratch?

I mean from the beginning: making your own cookies, etc.
I've found a few recipes for Biscoff cookies (though it looks like other recipes would work too: I'm thinking of KBD Entertains Pumpkin Doodles) and homemade spread. I guess I could mash them up sometime. But I am curious if anyone's done it herself.

I bought lotus biscuits, blended with brown sugar and cream/whip topping, delicious lotus spread. You can find the recipe online

I did.
Lotus biscuits are expensive and I just thought I'd put out feelers.

I always thought the Lotus cookies tasted like those generic Supermarket spiced windmill cookies, around 1.99 a package. But most of those are oud.
