Not really..

Try and wean him off slowly. Add some water to the juice, and then slowly add more water till it's mostly water and only some juice.

Eventually he should come to take plain water.

you may wish to speak with your pediatrician about it.

With my first I let it go - and my poor kid's teeth rotted in his mouth Sad The amount of dental work he had to have done was obscene. My second didnt' get juice until after they turned 2, and only in a cup, watered down, on shabbos.

No. Apple juice is very unhealthy. Buy him small wAter bottles instead. He will get used to drinking it after a few tries.

Try a fun sippy cup. Let him pick it out.

My son was the same way. Only wanted juice and only was able to drink from a straw. Anyways a trip to the dentist finally made me put my foot down. Firstly the amount of sugar is really bad for them. It's going to be really tough but stop buying juice boxes! It will be a huge adjustment and yes he might be a bit dehydrated but it will only last a few days.
My son would scream that he wanted juice but we had none in the house. He was forced to sip water because he was thirsty. It's been 3 weeks and he doesn't even ask for juice anymore. He drinks straight from the cup.
Its easier to do it now then when he's 3 or 4 years old.
Good luck!

Here’s a good tip for your next kid- I give water from a cup from 4-5 months old and that’s the only drink they knew of( besides their milk). By 12 months they drink water from a cup alone beautifully. Juice is real garbage( soda too).

yeah we drink water, seltzer, milk and sometimes orange juice/watered down orange juice but not often (though if we're at other peoples houses I let my son have what they are drinking-within reason, so he doesn't feel deprived).. Of course that isn't helpful advice for your current situation. Honestly I'd just stop having it around, stop giving it. Have water and milk be the only options. Maybe juice on Shabbat if you think that would work? Even then I'd water it down. and just don't buy the juice boxes.
I like the idea of getting him a fun cup.

It's really not ok. It's basically like sucking sugar through a straw all day.
