I was particularly wondering about the scene with the mother and the bottle. Is there anything to that really?

I saw it- wasn’t such a fan of it. I thought the bottle was interesting but never saw any truth to it.

I saw it and enjoyed it. The scene with the bottle was a very small part of it and the rest was pretty realistic.

DD and I have both seen it, and we thought it was pretty realistic.
The one thing that we were pretty upset about, is that the main actress is actually in recovery from an eating disorder, and the producers kept bugging her to "lose more weight" so she could look extra skinny and sick on camera. It's a miracle that girl didn't go into a full relapse after that, and shows she has incredible strength.
