You can do 8 candles in the center of the table. With a taller one for the shamesh.

I have done a salad bar in a menorah. I used individual lucite square containers for misc items/toppings/dressings and a long one (or three small put together) filled with lettuce for the shamesh.

Menorah wont work as I need a centerpiece for each table.

I once saw this at an extended family chanuka party. Each table had a center piece with old pictures of the siblings when they were little. Sweet.

I plan to do is 9 small wisky cups1 for the shamis in the center and 4 on each side in the form of a menorah filled with mango bits and top with pomegranate , looks like candles
