2 years ago I conceived naturally for the only time (before or since) on Zos Chanukah. It was a tremendous neis. Unfortunately I miscarried but that it happened at all was miraculous

We had a nes last night. babys trach came out accidentally.
B'H I was right there (nurse is not allowed to put it back in)
B'H it went right in. last few months trach changes all had complications.

(she was due for a change last week but I postponed it as we were waiting to either have my friend doctor come help me or go to ENT & have it done there.
Meanwhile it came out, so I quickly replaced it & b'H no complications this time.)

I am so thankful to Hashem for this.
The craziest thing is that after the whole episode, as I was cleaning up & wanted to discard the old trach, I look in & see it is fully clogged. don't ask me how she was breathing through that & why her nurse hadn't suctioned her in a while...

Here's my ness. I'm the bread winner but out of a job now.

Money is extremely tight here. My children wanted me to take them out today (no school today) to the mall but I simply didn't have even one dollar (there is a sponsor who borrows for groceries, utilities, rent only.. definitely not fair to ask for the luxury of going to the mall or for gifts etc). My heart broke for them.

Years ago I used to sell a cheap item on Amazon. Due to multiple reasons, I can no longer sell it but still have some of it stored in my house. I don't have what to do with it. It's the type of item, Frum people don't need.

Today, I heard banging on the door.. It was my neighbor's cleaning lady. She told me she has $40 to spend.. I was puzzled.. She then said she remembers a while ago she had seen me selling a specific product and she wants to buy as many as she can with the $40.. She walked out happily with the goods.

It's a true miracle. I've been penniless literally the last few weeks. $40 is a lot for us!!

Our living situation was majorly deteriorating. A crazy landlord, really dysfunctional neighbors that made a lot noise. The building was literally falling apart. So we started looking to buy with a pretty small budget. I made a crazy low ball offer on a house we liked on zos channukah and it went through. The whole process was majorly stressful but 6 months later we closed b'h and its been such a life changing experience for all of us.

A few years ago on Chanuka 2 of my kids climbed on my glass top table and were jumping. They were 2 and 3 at the time. The glass shattered underneath them, they both fell to the floor, there were sharp shards of glass everywhere, but Bh they both walked away with barely a scratch, they were fine. It was unbelievable. I still shake when I think about it.

Nes nes just happened!
Just got 2 wonderful phonecalls!
1) that dr. has a cancellation so procedure we were waiting for can be done earlier (I posted a few weeks ago about a procedure that was cancelled due to a supposed flu, which messed up our schedule)

2) Insurance approved the hospital crib! we were told it will take months to be authorized, if. & b'H it went in less then a week!!

I'm so excited I want to Dancing & Cheers

Now we need the big nes to happen Smile

Last year on the last day of Chanukka I won an expensive coffee machine. We really had no money and I couldn't believe my luck. I had bought 8 tickets , one for every night. So that was the last one so I had almost given up hope. Whenever I look at that coffee machine it reminds me of last chanukka

I would like to share another nes we experienced Chanukah. This happened last year. my baby was about 4 months old & was running a high temp. I called the ped. & he wasn't concerned as she was over 3 months old & it had just started. said to wait a day.
Meanwhile, something didn't sit right with me & so I reached out to NP of my babys specialist.
Baby has a condition that gets worse with infection but as this was the first time this happened I wasn't aware of the severity. she urged me to go to the ped. & get baby started on antibiotics asap. I ran over as dr. was leaving already. he was all mad & said its a waste for us to come. (he is usually a very nice dr, but I guess him being in a rush & he was upset that we shlepped this kid out in the freezing snowy weather).

So we take a cbc & lo & behold her white count was in mid 30's. (regular is 10) next thing I know a rocephin shot was injected & we ran over to get a chest xray (which was negative) we never did get to the bottom of what infection caused all this. but her dr. wanted her hospitalized I begged her to stay home & she said ok, as long as fever goes down. The next 2-3 days were a major 'nerven shpiel'. the fever didn't drop, dropped a little, came right up & so on... I texted & emailed with NP through the day & night (who was away! but with her amazing dedication availed herself to us) & b'H we were able to avoid an admit.
we went to pediatrician daily for follow up blood work & more injections.

I didn't even know then how narrowly we avoided this hospitalization as the last few times we had this she immediately needed to be admitted, have an MRI & put on steroids plus strongest iv antibiotics.

As stressful as it was, we were so lucky to stay home & spend time with our kids (we had not so long before finished a 8 week hospital stay).

On zos chanukah we had a visit with this NP & she was busy on what a Nes we had that she stayed out of hospital!

...and this is why I didn't make latkes this year! because last year I made latkes the first night. then baby was kvetching all night long & I couldn't fathom why my latkes (oil?) were bothering her so much. but obviously this was the start of the illness & she only broke out in a fever early morn.
Lol! I know its not the reason at all. just a negative connotation in my brain!!

Just before I turned 10 my family had a chanukah miracle. Years ago, before there was the Jewish childrens Museum in Crown Heights, Tzivos hashem would make a “dreidel house” in Manhattan.

It was Motzai shabbos of chanukah and my parents were going to take us there. My father got an important work call and so we kids were waiting. My mother meanwhile was in her bedroom organizing and sorting some things until my father would be ready to leave.

While waiting for my father to finish his urgent work call (he works in Kashrus) I told my younger siblings to get their coats from their bedrooms and let’s wait by the front door. At that time we lived in a tiny apartment. My brothers ran to their room and got their coats. They did not realize that they bumped into the menorahs and tipped them, starting a fire. While we were waiting by the door I heard a funny soft buzz. I tried to place where the sound was coming from. Looking up I saw smile coming from the smoke detector. I went closer and saw the fallen menorah and the boys bedroom wall in flames. I quickly yelled to my father that there was an emergency but he did not understand what I was saying. Only when I tugged at his phone did he realize that something was up. He ran to see what I was saying and saw the flames. My mother had just bought a new jumbo pot that was waiting to be toiveled. My mother called the fire sept and took the kids out of the house. My father quickly filled the pot with water and threw it on the fire. It instantly put out the fire. BH the damage was minimal - one wall was burnt, the toy cabinet was burnt and all the kids toys melted. The house though was full of smoke.

I thank Hashem for the miracle that we were all saved and that the damage was minimal (less than 1000). I don’t know what made me try to find the source of the very soft buzzing but that was a miracle as only I heard it.

I never had success in therapy and was resistant to the thought of trying again. But this week I did just that. With someone who works with a different approach. And I’m feeling the difference. To me that is a miracle as I never thought I’d give it a second chance.
