Looking to spend the day in Brooklyn or Manhattan on x-mas. What attractions would be open?

Look into ice skating to see if Prospect Park, Bryant Park, Central Park, or Rockefeller Center will be open.

So we prefer something indoors. I will also be bringing along my toddler, but the attraction does not need to be child friendly because he will probably not be participating in the activity. VR World will actually be open on x-mas, but they do not allow children under age 7 on premises. Any other suggestions?

Check the schedules for Spyscape, Gulliver's Gate, National Geographic Ocean exhibit, Color Factory in Soho, maybe a paint your own pottery place.

Doctorima, I can always count on you for a new NYC experience idea! I never heard of Spyscape. According to their calendar, they seem to be open on x-mas! I will look into it. BTW, did you ever hear of Candytopia? Unfortunately, they will be closed on x-mas. Thanks!

Open to more suggestions!

Chocolate Works on the Upper West Side or East Side, I forgot which.

You would need to check if these places are open on x-mas Day though.
I feel like the only things open indoors are Chinese restaurants and movie theaters.

We had tons of fun at Spyscape on Chol Hamoed, and there were lots of other frum people there. It's not cheap (though I think we found a 20% off coupon online), but it's really interactive and done very well. Glad to hear it's open on Dec. 25.

Is candytopia interesting? Do they make the candy? Is any candy kosher?

Candytopia has an entrance fee of $34 per person, to look at candy sculptures. There is candy to buy afterward, no idea if it's Kosher. Such a rip off. I'd rather spend that time at Jack's 99 Cent World, practically across the street.

If you want a place for your toddler all Jewish places will probably be open. Like Jewish childrens museum.

Almost everything, unless specifically Jewish. Check in advance before going anywhere.

Colorfactory in Soho looks interesting but they are expensive. Is it worth it? For all ages?

Would love feedback on Spyscape. Thinking of going next week. Would also like feedback on Candytopia.

Was very well done. Better than I expected. I would now like to take my two teenage sons. Right up their alley.

From what I heard, Candytopia is great but overpriced.
