I have an old wig that's in perfect condition and in a bit bored of it. It's very thick, and I wanted to experiment by removing wafts. Any idea how I can do that myself?

A sheitel macher can do it for $20. Why mess around?

I would recommend mailing it to an experienced sheitel macher and not risk ruining it. Gitel Rosensweig in Brooklyn, NY is fantastic with this type of job.

Check out YouTube for DIY weft removal videos. The ones I saw are all done on cheap wigs.

I did it using a seam opener/ripper. Came out totally fine!
