CIO worked for me.
I get why people don't want to do it, but it WORKS if done right.
Overall, I believe that the baby cries much less (3 hours -maybe, probably less- over 3-4 nights vs. 10 minutes a night for 2 months).

Soothe, but only the minimum (even though it takes longer). E.g. stroke baby's back, dont pick him up to rock him. Gradually do less and less.

I know you don't want a book, but for anyone else who reads this thread - read "The No Cry Sleep Solution" this was the only method that worked for me. I don't believe in letting a baby cry it out.

What ever it’s called CiO method is barbaric and heartless. For such young age. I only used to caress my babies and stroke their faces and sing low tunes and surrounding room has to be quite and dark. Child needs to feel loved and secure not unwanted. Or put on lullabies at least in background. To let baby cry for more then 10 min is heartless.

Start a regular bedtime routine. Dinner bath shema. Do it every day for a week. At time u want baby to go to sleep put him in the bed.
After a few weeks she'll get the idea and start going to sleep then. U might have to schedule the previous nap too.
