I know everyone's first response is ask your lor, but I'm assuming this section is here to help us figure out what the questions or issues are.

I always here about people ordering drinks at a hotel bar, or airport bar. What are the kashrus implications?

What types of drinks do people order?

I'm not much of a drinker, but I think you can have a screwdriver or a Cuba Libre. or vodka and cranberry juice without any issues.

Looks like it's not so simple and yet seems like others do it regularly, so I didn't think it's such a big deal. For those that do, do you really start asking the bartenders for the breakdown and checking all the ingredients?

Doesn't seem worth it to me.....

Jack & Coke is safe.

If you ask to look at the bottles of OJ and cranberry juice to check for hechsher then you can get those with vodka.

Drinks you would buy elsewhere, basically.
Or if it's a juice they do, that there is no additive and no grape juice.

I buy soda and things that I get elsewhere. DH gets things that he recognizes the bottle. Beer and bourbons are ok.
