Spanish inquisition because I personally dont have a problem with that. Plenty of Jews use the name and Isabella is not synonymous with Ferdinand and Isabella. It's not like naming your kid Hitler yemach shemo or even Adolf which at this point is synonymous with the former..

He grew up with a Xmas tree though! It's one thing to say "Uncle ___ I'd love to hear about the past," but specifically asking about Jewish things, when he grew up with nothing and I am frum, is likely to put him on the defensive. I've seen it a lot in my family.
