I like giving my kids english names. Not to call them by, but just to have as their legal names. What's an English name for Ahuva?

Ahuva means beloved and Cheryl also means beloved if you are going for same meaning- if you are going for similar-ish sound Ahuva could be Haley, Alison, Anna....

Are you looking for a similar meaning? "Amy" means "beloved," or something close to it. It's a normal, mainstream name in the US, although less popular than it was a generation ago.

For a similar sound, consider Ava, Eve or Ivy.

Similar to Cheryl - Cherie, Cara, and all the variant spellings.

Common? Trendy? Aiko, which in Japanese means loved one. Alexa has the same amount of syllables and a similar feel. Ava also makes sense and could even be a nickname for AhuVA.

It doesn’t have a direct translation. So just pick any name you like or that sounds similar.
Ava is a good suggestion and it’s also pretty trendy right now so would not stand out at all.

All the Ahuvas I know are Amanda, but that's not a very popular name these days. I like the idea of Ava.

My Ahuva was given the name Ava on her birth certificate. It happens to be that the person she's named after was called Ava, but I really liked the name besides.
