If you have one microwave, can you go over some halachot? Do you double cover everything or is single ok? If you put meat dish in to heat something up and then dairy dish to warm up dairy, does it affect status of dishes??

Some hold that the turntable glass cannot be kashered so buy a replacement and mark one dairy and one meaty.
There's a way to kasher the microwave itself with a glass of hot bubbling spilling over water (be very careful).

Ask a shaila - we were told to buy 2 plastic microwave safe containers and to poke some holes in the cover to let out steam. We had one for meat and one for dairy and the food always went inside.

OP this question needs to be taken to YOUR rav. There are some who say a microwave can’t be used for both no matter what. Some say with a turn table is different. A convection microwave or a microwave drawer may be different than a standard microwave.

You must double wrap everything, and use disposable dishes so there are no problems,

My parents dayan (Chassidish) says that if everything is covered and you are careful to wipe it down afterwards it can be used for milchigs and fleishigs. My parents would not use dairy or meat dishes, but rather disposable stuff in their microwave. Obviously ask your own shaila.

What we do is choose to make the micowave either milchigs or fleishigs and then double wrap the other option. this way we don't have to cover everything.

Another question in this topic, is using a fleishig microwave to reheat fish considered the same as cooking fish and meat in one pot and prohibited?

Good point mentioned above - we were told that a convection over/microwave cannot be used for both.
Also, under our plastic containers we also had a separate glass plate for milk and meat.
In short, ask because the answer will vary based on what type of microwave you have.

Also based on who you ask. My father in law, who sells appliances, told us one thing about something, and my father, who is in hashgacha, told us something else. Both are very learned, but travel in different circles and hold differently.
