Call the hospital gift shop and see if they deliver gifts to patient rooms. I have done that with other hospitals. They often have cute stuffed animals.

From working in a major hospital I can tell you that ordering from amazon is NOT a good idea. The mail room sees so much traffic that it will be a long time till the pt gets it. Definitely the best idea is going through the gift shop (the gift shop in my hospital is not prohibitively expensive. It’s not like airport shops)

Ok, so my plan if I order from amazon will be to send it to the home they're staying by.
the gift shop is closed today, so will wait for tomorrow & hear prices.
I do hope though that they get the e-cards we sent...

Find out if there is a chai lifeline or bikur cholim and see if they would hand-deliver it. Then have the toy shipped to them.

I can put you in touch with the bikur cholim here and they can help deliver if you send something via Amazon to a house which may be easier. https://www.bikurcholimcincinnati.com/

There is not really anything local I can think of that would deliver a gift, but many people go to Children's often (they are more than a hospital -- people see various specialists, dentists, etc, and there are those who work there) so it should not be difficult if you need a ride for a care package.

Tizki l'mitzvos!

Thanks for suggestions everyone! I was hoping for a local store as amazon delivery was Friday at earliest to that area-even with one day shipping items.

Thanks Hashem Yaazor.

I did get the address where the family was staying but it was just not worth it timewise.

I ended up ordering a plush Minnie mouse & balloon from the gift shop for the price I would've gotten something more substantial & enjoyable via Amazon. but ok, its the thought that counts & they were overjoyed.
