My 5 year old goes to bed about 7-7:15 and my 7 year old about 7:45-8. DH claims 5 year old goes to bed to early. But she falls right asleep and wakes about 7 AM. What'd the normal bed time for a 5 year old? And how many hours of sleep do kids need?

Our bedtime is 6:00-6:30. 5 year olds should be sleeping 12+ hours a night so your schedule sounds fine.

My 5 year old goes to sleep at 6:45 and my 7 year old goes to sleep between 7:15 to 7:30

Sounds perfect to me. If she's falling asleep right away she's obviously ready for bed. And 7 am is a great wake up time.
