Tel Aviv-based Parasonic Ltd. is an anti-head lice device company with a penchant for puns. Its ultrasound device, the company claims, kills lice and their eggs in a single combing treatment that takes approximately 10 minutes.

If it works I'll be the first to buy it.
Bittled of pantene aren't free..... and at the rate we go thru them and "no more lice" shampoo.... it might be cheaper.

I'll also have my daughters class all cleaned up.
Since she started pre1a, it's been every few weeks. Never had it before. Amd its Just her not her sister. I'm thinking it's a kid in her class she keeps getting infected from.

I'm not saying that there are more confidence artists in Israel than anywhere else but I've run into a number of them in technology companies (sometimes the first person they have conned is themselves) so I'd like to see an independent evaluation of this. That means by someone who is not a shareholder or who was paid by the company. I don't think the claim is a preposterous as some, but it still could stand to be verified.

Their website has a photo of what they say is a louse injured by the device. Well if someone else repeats that experiment and counts how many are injured and how many are unharmed and has a control sample that is subject to all of the same procedures except that the ultrasonics are not turned on, that would be interesting.

I did find this, and it claimed "an 82 % lice eradication rate compared to 70 % of benchmark treatments". I didn't see numerical claims about this device.

I did look at Consumers Reports and they had an article last year about lice but didn't mention ultrasonics.
