I know it's not recent, but where does this word that apparently means extremely easy derive from?? And is it in regular use by anyone over the age of 10?

lol. Totally forgot about those words. I used to say both as a kid. I think easy pickles became easy shmickles. And shmickles got shortened to shmicks
