I usually sauté crushed garlic in olive oil, add string beans and salt and pepper and cook until warmed through.
Any other ideas?

I like them roasted on a high heat until they shrivel up. Takes 8-10 minutes you have to watch them so they dont burn.

Do you add anything to them? Are they best eaten immediately or can they last a few hours until tonight’s meal?

I toss with olive oil on a cookie sheet and roast at 400 for 8 minutes. Not a minute more as it will still soften once removed. Comes out bright green and still crunchy. Then toss with crushed garlic and coarse salt. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. (Don't leave it on the metal pan.) We eat it at room temperature tonight.

Soy sauce
a tsp of garlic powder
a tsp of sugar
olive oil
roast in the over for as long as you like - we like them bright green and crunchy.

Toss frozen string beans with salt, garlic, and sesame oil in a Pyrex bowl. Put in oven a few minutes before turning it off for licht bentching. It's perfect that way.

This is a seriously delicious dish. I am wild about the flavor combinations.
Strong beans, garlic, date syrup, and pecans.
Boil the string beans 3 or 4 minutes. Sautee the garlic. Add the pecans and string beans. Top with date syrup.
